Eldon’s mild steel operator interface control enclosure, OICE, has proven very popular. To continue to meet and exceed customer expectations, Eldon has now launched an upgraded version that is easier to handle, accommodates heavy loads better, and allows for easy assembly of accessories, such as mounting profiles and DIN rails. The enclosure has also had a facelift to make the design, including the handles, more appealing.
The mild steel operator interface control enclosure, OICE, has a pre-machined hole pattern to allow easy positioning on a swing arm, plus a removable front plate that secures an IP 55 protection degree. Components can be easily fitted thanks to the removable front plate and become easily accessible through a rear door. Side handles on the enclosure allow for easy movement of the enclosure.
Eldon’s development engineers found that the robustness of the enclosure could be improved and that it was not compatible with the certain profile, BPP. Other improvement areas included the design, as well as the handles and the front aluminium plate.
The new OICE enclosure benefits from a robust reinforcement plate to ensure the enclosure is kept in place with the swing arm, even when equipped with heavy loads. New side handles make it easier to manoeuvre the unit and a new aluminium front plate, without any sharp edges, enhances the visual appearance. Welded studs now allow for easy mounting of accessories such as the profile, BPP, assembled on the side within OICE, DIN rails, BDR, and a mounting plate, BMP.
In summary, the new operator interface control enclosure, OICE, brings several benefits compared to its predecessor:
- Smoother handling;
- Easy mounting of accessories and equipment;
- Greater capacity for heavy loads;
- Better visual appearance.
