As the 31 December 2020 deadline approaches for the UK separation from the EU, we are writing to provide you with an update regarding our Brexit preparations and to share guidance with you on getting the solutions you need.
During the transitional period, we have taken numerous steps to prepare for the separation, including:
- Establishing a Brexit task force to monitor separation proceedings, gather input from key internal and external stakeholders and create preparedness plans. The task force continues to plan for potential order fulfillment, supply chain and other possible impacts to our core business and functional supports.
- Working with our transportation carrier partners to establish the best practices for administering UK imports with minimal supply chain disruption.
- Performing a variety of in-house tests intended to foster continuity of our business operation systems after the separation.
As a UK customer, please continue to place your purchase orders through your regular nVent order channels after the separation.
We anticipate there could be some initial shipment delays at the borders because of the separation. We will use our standard communication channels to notify you of customer-specific impacts wherever we can anticipate them.
Meanwhile, we are encouraging UK customers to place non-standard orders as early in the cycle as possible to reduce potential delays. We also suggest you check your current inventory levels to be sure you have adequate stock of high-running products.
Thank you for being a valued customer. As we all navigate this transition, we will do our best to communicate with you and to serve you well. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or wish to review further.
