Eldon Launches Thermal Management Software
Starting in July 2010, with the launch of Eldon’s new thermal management software, ELDON customers will have an easier time determining what type of thermal management solution is required to keep the electrical equipment inside an enclosure operating at peak efficiency and ensure maximum longevity of these sensitive components.
Eldon’s new program enables any enclosure user to enter relevant data such as enclosure dimensions, housing material and minimum and maximum anticipated temperature inside the switch cabinet to calculate the type of cooling or heating solution required. The options range from cooling and ventilation solutions to keep sensitive components from have to cope with high temperatures to heating units that prevent condensation.
“We are offering our clients an elegant, easy-to-use solution for determining the thermal management needs for their enclosures,” said David Ramos, Product Manager Enclosures, Eldon. “We are especially pleased by our thermal management software’s ability to take into account the warming effects of the sun, making it capable of determining the heating or cooling need of outdoor enclosures as well those being used indoors.”

Eldon’s new thermal management solution is targeted toward all manufacturers of control panels, especially OEMs and panel builders, but its very easy-to-use graphical interface make it a snap for all enclosure users.
