Eldon Delivers Enclosures for Use in Africa
The first sub-Saharan country to gain independence and home to nearly 25 million people, Ghana in west African is also soon to be home to forty-two electrical enclosures from Eldon.
Eldon AS in Norway has already delivered fifteen MCS20088R5 floor standing enclosures to Oswo AS in Horten in Norway where they are being fitted for a project for the Electricity Company of Ghana in Africa. The firm is using Eldon’s enclosures to build distribution switch boards and 33kV control panels.
The switch boards and panels will represent critical components of a power plant generating electricity for the nation of Ghana. The project will be completed in 2011.
“We are really pleased to be working on this project,” said Knut Arnestad, Country Manager, Norway. “It is always exciting to enhance Eldon’s reputation as a leading worldwide enclosure provider by delivering products to our clients that will be used outside of Norway.
The MCS enclosures Eldon is supplying for the project feature glazed door and 19” swingframes.
