Eldon MKS Enclosure Delivered to Prague’s Radisson Alcron Hotel by Helicopter
Look Out, Above!
No strangers to creative problem solving, when the team at Schrack discovered the elevator at Prague’s luxury Alcron Hotel wasn’t large enough to transport the Eldon MKS enclosure up eight floors to the roof where it would deliver power to the art deco lodging facility’s air conditioning system, they looked to the sky for the answer.
So one crisp April morning, residents of Prague’s architecturally stunning New Town were treated to a strange sight—a 400 kilogram Eldon MKS enclosure zipping across the sky suspended from a helicopter by dozens of feet of cable before being deposited on the Alcron Hotel’s roof.
The easiest way to get the enclosure on the roof of the Alcron Hotel was to think outside the box and the folks at Schrack enlisted the help of air power to get the enclosure to where it was needed.
“We know our suppliers, distribution and installation partners are some of the most creative thinkers in the electrical industry,” said Arnold Bokema, Export Manager, Eldon. “Employing a helicopter to facilitate the delivery of the enclosure that will help keep hotel guests cool and comfortable for decades is just another example of a firm going the extra mile—in this case, up—to give customers the innovative service they expect.”
Since its spring installation, the MKS enclosure has been helping to keep the Radisson Alcron’s discriminating customers cool as they enjoy the summer tourist season in scenic Prague.
