Bucking the trend seems to be Eldon´s middle name at the moment, as production of stainless steel enclosures at the UK Production Plant in Rotherham, hits an all time high!
Increasing volumes is a considerable task, although in our case it was made much easier because of the involvement from the factory floor.
Although it´s not always possible to re-invent the wheel (or an enclosure to that matter), we believe that you should spend time asking yourself if something can be done better. Hence, the involvement of everyone in Production, because who know´s better than the person making the enclosure?
On-going improvements in efficiency is a never ending task, although will never provide all the answers you need, which is why you also need to invest in the processes and new equipment (i.e. New door corner forming machine).
The problem with expanding is that sometimes you can expand too quickly, which is why any expansion at Eldon is always carefully managed. Expansion of any kind is fraught with danger, not at least quality and delivery, which can both suffer.
The Rotherham factory has a long tradition of supplying a quality product on-time, which is why no investment in expansion is approved unless it can not only show a benefit to the company, but more importantly, to you, our customer.
