ELDON ALIVE TRAINING

If you remember the last newsletter in March, we told you about a unique event we were planning in Drachten, on the 12th June.
In conjunction with one of our favourite partners, Weidmüller, we staged our first ever trade show at the main Theatre in Drachten.
The day was all about synergies, synergy between Eldon and Weidmüller, and synergy between the two of us and our customers, and therefore was less about the hard sell, and more about solutions and the tools we both provide to make life easier for the installer.
The day begun with presentations from Alexander van der Weide (Sales & Marketing Director, Eldon Benelux) and Bart den Braber (Managing Director, Weidmüller Benelux).
Alexander explained Eldon's philosophy on customer care, and how Eldon as a business is constantly striving to exceed customer's expectations. Alexander has implemented a number of changes in the way we are going to market over the last 2 years, which is probably why sales are going so well this year!
Bart also talked about the Weidmüller business, but also went on to explain how they see advancements in technology changing the shape and needs of the market. The need for automation, especially in the industrial sector continues to grow unabated, which is why Eldon and Weidmüller are already looking to tomorrow's requirements. This isn't an industry you can afford to sit still in!
After these two presentations, everyone took a short bus ride to Eldon's factory in Drachten for a tour of the Production facility, and to see first hand how their orders are processed and dispatched.
Back at the Theatre once more, Eldon and Weidmüller staged various product related presentations, with a view to enlightening the audience with new ways of tackling tradition problems.
At this point, it may have crossed several peoples mind that the day wasn't over, but no one had mentioned what was going to happen next.
Enter our mystery guest, Gabriël, to make a lively presentation called "New Shoes Today". The title certainly caused some curious looks, but was very inspirational and thought provoking, and certainly caused a lot of debate afterwards, but we don't want to give too much away as we have already decided to repeat this event twice next year!
