Dutch National Team Loses to Portugal in World Cup Bid Despite Electrical Industry Support
Even though the Dutch National Team was thoroughly supported by both Eldon, one of Europe's leading enclosure manufactures and Weidmüller, a leading manufacturer of components for electrical connection technology, it was not enough to propel the squad to victory against Portugal. Eldon and Weidmüller teamed up to provide more than 4,000 orange jerseys to electrical equipment customers, aiding them in showing their support for the Dutch team.
 "While were happy to promote the Dutch National Team by giving away thousands of shirts, said Bart den Braber , Managing Director, Weidmüller. "We feel our efforts may have been more effective had we instead, concentrated on stealing the uniforms of our Portuguese opponents."

But if we had it to do over, I tend to agree with Bart. If Portugal would have had to play the entire match in the buff, the outcome would have certainly been different."
