Eldon solution provider for German telecom
Eldon Provides Components for Delivering Wireless Internet Access in Germany
Eldon has been selected by a major German telecommunications firm as the supplier for connection boxes in the firm’s bid to provide pay-per-use wireless Internet access at sites across Germany. The sites are similar to Internet “hot spots,” but users can pay for the Internet time they require using cash instead of credit cards.

Eldon is supplying the telecommunications firm with the connection boxes used to set the system up. As delivered, the boxes consist of a customised, mild steel, wall mounted MAS enclosure and all the necessary accessories for set up, including: wiring, power supplies, heaters, DIN rails for internal mounting and external wall mounting materials such as specialized screws and nuts.
“The comprehensiveness of Eldon’s enclosure configuration for this project is a testament to our commitment to making things easy for our customers,” said Stefan Sandkuhl, Eldon’s German Sales Director. “Because the connection boxes are delivered with all holes pre-drilled and the DIN rail already mounted, the only thing required of our customer is to snap the electronic equipment into place.”
The deal was signed in the third quarter of last year and many enclosures have already been delivered.
