Eldon has recently completed folding its Belgian, Dutch and Luxemburg businesses into a new Benelux business unit. Leveraging the advances of Eldon’s Dutch subsidiary in logistics, distribution and other activities such as financing and purchasing, the new entity will provide customers with superior customer service while maintaining the personal touch of local sales teams for each national office.
“Bundling the collective strengths of Eldon’s operations in Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxemburg creates a powerful entity capable of providing increased support to the sales forces in each country,” said Alexander van der Weide, Sales and Marketing Director, Benelux Region. “Our sales people are then freed up to concentrate on providing the best possible service to our customers.”
Customers in both The Netherlands and Belgium are already benefiting from improved delivery times. Delivery times in Holland are topping out at 24 hours and Belgian deliveries are now taking no more than 96 hours -- which Eldon plans to improve to 48. Additionally, Eldon has set-up a facility in the Dutch organization able to do customization work on enclosures such as drilling holes or changing colors. This new stock pool facilitates extremely rapid delivery.
Throughout the Benelux area Eldon is engaged in campaign to inform engineering firms about just how easy its EU-standard-meeting products are to order and employ.
“We are concentrating on getting the message out to engineering firms, panel builders and end users about all our industrial products, but we’re especially interested in letting them know about our newest items such as our swing frames, top cabling units and 60 mm busbars,” said van der Weide.
Eldon’s customers seem to be responding very well to the recent changes. Since the restructuring’s completion, Eldon’s sales have increased significantly in Belgium.
