Today’s generation of servers become more and more powerful. A side effect of this development is that they generate more heat than ever before. Therefore adequate cooling is essential to keep your systems online. One of the most effective ways to provide cooling is by guiding a flow of cold air through the front door of the rack towards the front of the servers. A big part of this airflow is then blown into the servers. However another part of the airflow is leaking away through the gaps between the rack-frame and the front mounted 19-Inch profiles, reducing the cooling efficiency considerably.
To prevent this from happening, Eldon introduces a unique Cold Air Guide (EDAG). The cold Air Guides are mounted in the front of the ElRack® to close these gaps. This way all the air is guided towards the front of the servers without any air leakage. Maximum efficiency and cooling is therefore guaranteed!
The Air Guide panelling system is available for racks with heights of 2000mm and 2200mm and widths of 600mm and 800mm. The 800mm wide versions are equipped with 6 break out openings of 1U each which can be utilized for extra 19-Inch vertical mounting space. These compact slots can be used to mount power distribution units (HPDS), cable brushes (EGG), lights (TLC), Controller units (UVC), RMS-systems, etc. Sensors (e.g. thermostats) can be routed through the 4 sensor openings, which are covered with a rubber plug.
All Air Guide versions have a fixed front distance between the 19-Inch profiles and the door of 135mm, allowing sufficient space for cabling.
Description: Used to close the gaps between the rack frame and the front mounted 19-Inch profiles. This way all the air is guided towards the front of the servers since no air is leaking away through the sides. Maximum efficiency of the supplied cold air is therefore guaranteed. The 800mm wide versions are equipped with 6 breakout openings of 1U each which can be used for extra 19-Inch vertical mounting space. E.g. PDU (HPDS), cable brushes (EGG), Lights (TLC), Controller units (UVC), RMS-units, etc. All EDAG versions have a fixed front distance between the 19-Inch profile and the door of 135mm. To be mounted in combination with EDCH profiles and EDWB brackets (800mm wide). Can be used in all ElRack® configurations providing available size.
