In response to strong demand from the Indian market, Eldon is currently manufacturing its standard range of both wall mounted and floor standing enclosures as well as terminal boxes, in India. The move to Indian manufacture provides customers on the subcontinent with quicker delivery times as well as increased flexibility in terms of customization.
“We used to bring in our products from Eldon’s Dutch factory, but demand here has been so strong, we saw meaningful advantages in developing our manufacturing capacity right in India,” said Ashok Menghani, Sales & Marketing Manager, Eldon CS.
“By setting up a large production facility in Gujarat, we’ve managed to dramatically reduce delivery times on floor standing and wall mounted enclosures as well as terminal boxes. The factory’s being located so close to our customers also means we’re able to perform much more thorough customization work on an array of enclosures while offering rapid turn around times. In short, more of our customer’s needs are being met.”
The toughness of Eldon’s product line, with its use of impact-resistance IK09 and high ingress protection IP66 has impressed installers, panel builders and system houses—anyone developing enclosures for cement plants, dairies, chemical and pharmaceutical plants, off shore applications, power plants, construction sites, railways, airports and numerous food and beverage industry applications.
“Our best selling products India have included both mild steel floor standing enclosures and our wall mounted enclosures,” continued Menghani. “People have really been impressed with the range Eldon’s product line all around and we’re delivering product daily.”
The firm also stressed that fact the products manufactured in India offer the same quality and attention to detail that Eldon had been providing its customers for last 86 years.
