Eldon will attend Hannover Messe 2008
ELDON, The Power to Protect
Madrid, 12 March, 2008: Eldon is pleased to announce its attendance this year at the world’s largest industrial fair, the Hannover Messe (Hanover Fair). Held on a fairground in Hanover, Germany, there are normally over 200.000 visitors interested in seeing the latest technical innovations and advances in automation from around 6.000 exhibitors.

The first Hannover Messe was the original idea of the British military government after the second world war, as a way of stimulating economic revival through export sales.
Taking place in the undamaged factory of Vereinigten Leichtmetallwerke (United Light Metal Works) in Laatzen (South of Hanover) between 18 August and 7 September 1947, the fair was colloquially known as Fischbrötchenmesse (fish bun fair) due to the exemptions in food rationing at the time.
The fair was a huge success, and was attended by 736,000 people from 53 different countries. Hanover soon replaced Leipzig as the “exhibition capital”, and stood as a glowing example of economical recovery.
A profile of Hermes (the God of trade) was chosen as the symbol for the fair, which is still used today, even after the name was changed to Hannover Messe in 1961.
In keeping with the original ethos of the fair, Eldon has chosen Hannover Messe to launch its new Power & Distribution range, which is based on the highly regarded Multi-Flex floor standing enclosures.

The Eldon Power System is a significant step forward in enclosure technology, and provides maximum flexibility to the user via an adaptable plug-in system. EPS also accepts various different types of busbar systems, and is available now in Eldon’s new RAL 7035 colour scheme.
Also on show at Hannover Messe, Eldon is proud to exhibit the latest addition to their ICT range of wall and floor standing server racks (17” telescopic TFT screen with integrated monitor, keyboard and mouse).

Also seen for the first time is the new STB range of steel terminal boxes. Available in 21 different sizes from 150 x 150 x 80 to 400 x 800 x 120 this IP66 box is predicted to be a real winner!
All of the products on display will be in the new RAL 7035 colour, after Eldon changed from RAL 7032 on the 2nd January 2008 due to popular demand. Just like the old colour, Eldon continues to use a structured powder coating of up to 80 microns, and uniquely paints inside and out of the enclosure to guarantee maximum protection against corrosion.
Also available on Stand B68 (Hall 11) is a chance to surf the new look website. Launched in February 2008, the new website is a major leap forward in website design for an industrial product. Better, faster and easier than before, the new website presents all the information you want in a logical no-nonsense approach. Benchmarked against other websites in the industry www.eldon.com is the only website your ever need in future!
