Eldon to Employ High Performing 240 Silicon Carbide Finish on All Stainless Steel Enclosures
Starting in October of 2006, Eldon will be using the super smooth 240 silicon carbide finish on its full range of stainless enclosures, including all floor standing, wall mounting and console enclosures. The only exception will be the internal ILS enclosure range, which will continue to feature a 180 to 220 grit finish.
Highly durable, the 240 silicon carbide provides a 'clean' finish making it suitable for the food processing and packaging industries and is also sought after for 'outside' and marine applications, as it is exceedingly resistant to corrosion.
This new finish out performs a typical 240 aluminium oxide finish. Eldon is the only enclosure provider to use the high end 240 silicon carbide finish as its standard catalogue product offering.
"The 240s is one the best finishes available on a catalogue stainless steel product," said Chris Bourne, Product Manager, Stainless Steel, Eldon. "Our move to this finish on all of our stainless steel enclosures demonstrates the seriousness of our commitment to becoming the enclosure of choice for the European food packaging and processing industry. We are aggressively targeting these markets."
