Eldon Enclosure Helps Bring Digital Television to Puebla De Obando
In the far west of Spain, the town of Puebla De Obando is so remote that until October 2005, its residents were unable to receive digital television broadcasts.
All that changed when Juan Jose Nieto Ortiz of JJN Electronica got to work. Using Eldon’s TE wall mounting data and telecom enclosure to house an amplifier and receiver, Ortiz installed a TV transmitter on top of the town’s water tank.
Ortiz’s equipment picks up, then amplifies and retransmits a weak digital signal from a slightly larger town some kilometers away. Now all of 2045 of Puebla De Obando’s residents can watch any of the five Spanish television channels with the clarity of digital performance with the click of a remote.
“We selected an Eldon enclosure for this project because Eldon’s products are designed to be easy to work with,” said Juan Jose Nieto Ortiz of JJN Electronica. “Using Eldon enclosures, installation takes much less time.”
