The Eldon Multi-Mount® Range
At Eldon we believe the best way to design the perfect product, is to work together with our customers.
Although we have been manufacturing enclosures since 1922, we understand that our customer’s requirements are changing all the time, and that from time to time you need something different.
When designing the Multi-Mount® range, we aimed to offer the largest range of standard sizes of any industrial enclosures currently available on the market (61 sizes). Furthermore, Multi-Mount® needed to be versatile enough so that we could customize it to our customers exact specification (incl. Different dimensions or colour, and hole punching etc).
Investing in the latest automated production processes in our factory in the South of Spain (Martos), has meant that we can offer a variety of different options to our standard product, quickly, efficiently and cost effectively, and still maintain the same high quality as our standard product.
In order to achieve a higher environmental protection rating (IP66 single door or IP55 double door), and to prevent access of dirt and water, the standard Multi-Mount® body is folded and seam welded from a cruciform, and has a reverse bend which forms a rain gutter to direct liquids away from the gasket.
As any installer will know, cabling an enclosure is a complicated and time consuming job, so to make life easier, we have positioned the gland plate opening at the far rear of the enclosure, which also means you don’t need to over bend the cables. Multi-Mount® also offers the option of top or bottom gland entry, depending on if you hinge the door on the left or right.
Also as standard on the Multi-Mount® range are horizontal markings on the mounting plate at 10mm intervals, which makes the positioning of equipment easier and faster.
