The Eldon ELBOX Range
Boasting a fresh, appealing design, the new ElBox patch box comes in 400mm, 500mm and 600 mm deep versions. While both the 400mm and the 500mm will be supplied as knock-down or flat-pack versions, the 600 mm deep model will be delivered pre-assembled.
The new ElBox features several improvements over the TEN and TED series it replaces. The advantage of supplying the majority of the range flat-packed means ElBox takes up less room to store and transport. There is no need to unpack the box until it has reached its final destination, because mounting only takes a few minutes.
Another important new feature of ElBox is that both sides are removable. This provides installers with full access to the enclosures interior from the front, left and right hand sides, making component installation much easier. However, when the door is closed, the side panels automatically lock in position, preventing unauthorized access to the equipment inside.
ElBox also features break-out gland openings pre-punched in both the top and bottom of the enclosure, allowing users to select the cable entry point. ElBox comes complete with a cable entry brush and earthing cables.
Finally, all ElBox enclosures are supplied with a glass or steel door. Because of their appealing design and ventilation openings, they are suitable for a broad range of environments such as shops, supermarkets, offices, medical facilities, etc..
Eldon Front & Rear Box EBF
This economy version will be supplied in a depth of 320mm, for direct wall mounting.
Although we are calling the EBF an economy box, it has a very nice trick up it´s sleeve! The majority of the rear panel can be easily removed by means of pre-punched knock-outs, which means you can then add the EBR hinged rear panel, which also provides an additional 110mm of depth.
Together they become one complete box with different access points. One in the front with key locking and a maintenance opening in the rear with DIN 3mm locking.
The Front and Rear box both feature pre-punched knock-out gland openings in both the top and bottom, allowing users to select the most convenient cable entry point.
The EBF comes complete with glass door, key lock, ventilated side panels, cable brush, 19” profiles and is avaialble from 6U to 18U.
Sectional Box, EBP
Supplied fully assembled and equipped, the newly launched sectional box further enhances the ElBox range. The overall depth is 650 mm, fixed side panels and a hinged rear part. The hinged rear part is fitted with two break-out gland openings for cable entry in top or bottom. This is a very strong and ridged design than can support a weight of up to 60kg at a height of 18U.
The EBP comes complete with glass door, key lock, cable brush, 19” profiles and is avaialble from 6U to 18U.
EBS, hinge improvement steel door
Not only using direct feedback from our customers, we constantly try to improve our products ourselves, to make them easier to use and save you more time on the workshop floor.
Therefore, we are pleased to announce that we have improved the hinge system of EBS plain doors, so you no longer need to use a screwdriver to remove them (see picture below).
As of today, all new doors will be supplied with the finger snap release, similar to the ElRack (EDR) floor standing racks, making it possible to mount the door just by pulling the hinge down with your hand instead of a tool. This proven system is easy to work with and very efficient, providing full access inside the rack by simply removing the door.
